Within Chard there are Rainbows 5-7yrs, Brownies 7-10yrs, Guides 10-14yrs, Senior Section 14-25yrs and Adults 18yrs+
We are always looking for more adult help and always welcome new members whatever their age. there are lots of exciting activities and experiences to be had and there is never a dull moment on residentials!

Led by qualified coaches, club training nights are Wednesdays on the Astro-turf at Cresta Leisure Centre, Holyrood School, Chard. There is no obligation to play matches and many Club members choose to attend training only, to maintain their fitness, develop new skills and make new friends.

Active Learning and Skill (ALS)provides youth clubs in Ilminster, Crewkerne, Chard and South Petherton. Since beginning this innovative work with a group of 5 young volunteers in 2009, over 200 young people have helped 15 staff run services in Crewkerne, South Petherton, Chard, & Ilminster, with 50 – 70 volunteers on the books at any one time.

Active Learning and Skills offers 3 exiting fun packed programmes that are designed by the youth team and young people.
Some of the things that are on offer are: sports, baking, games, crafts and pool competition. There is also a tuck shop available. Coming to the youth club is a great way to do fun things and chill with mates.

Chard Tennis Club is a lively and thriving friendly three court club based in the beautiful county of Somerset. The club, originally formed in the 1920's, is based at the Denning Sports Field off Zembard Lane with easy access from the Football Club.
Our club has an active coaching program lead by our head coach Sally Freeman and many opportunities for either social or competitive play.
Sally Freeman is trying to set up a junior competition for members calling it The Grand Slam Challenge. Members of the four teams – Wimbledon, Australian Open, French Open and U.S. Open – will compete against other teams to try and win the title at the end of the season. This is open to all players from mini to yellow ball players.
